This event benefits Griffis Sculpture Park and was voted as Buffalo's Best New Outdoor Event of 2011.

You see ambulances on the road all over the county, every day. But do you know that of the 1,000s of ambulance calls handled each year, over half are staffed with VOLUNTEERS??? That's right, that ambulance that just passed you is very likely to have been paid for through fundraisers and the staff inside are volunteers, completely unpaid for their service!

Today is day 5 of National EMS Week 2013. Emergency Services would like to recognize and thank all those dedicated EMS providers and rescue personnel that serve Cattaraugus County every day, 24/7.

It's impossible to imagine where we would be without the hundreds of hardworking volunteers spending countless hours away from their families to train, practice, and respond to help those in need. THANK YOU will never be enough to truly say how much each and every one of you is appreciated!!!

Collage of the War is Cruelty exhibit at the Cattaraugus County Museum

There is a new exhibit open at the Cattaraugus County Museum and Research Center.  Titled “War is Cruelty; A Sesquicentennial of the Civil War in its Third Year”, the exhibit will run through October 2013.

This exhibit, intended to compliment our summer long series of Civil War related programming, is made possible in large part due to generous loans from private collectors within Cattaraugus County.  We hope to see you!
