...Freezing rain will expand across the region through the eveningcommute...Rain and freezing rain, occasionally mixed with sleet, iscurrently occurring across the southern Adirondacks, the LakeGeorge Saratoga region, the Capital Region, eastern Catskills andHelderbergs. Temperatures are expected to fall another couple ofdegrees through the evening commute, allowing areas of freezingrain to become more widespread.Untreated ground surfaces which are currently wet are expected tobecome ice covered during the evening commute. Motorists andpedestrians are strongly advised to use extra caution if drivingor walking through this evening.Bridges and elevated road surfaces, highway on and off ramps,less traveled secondary roads, and also parking lots, sidewalksand driveways will be particularly susceptible to ice formationthrough early this evening.
