...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGHSUNDAY EVENING...The Flood Watch continues for* A portion of central New York, including the following areas,Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida.* From Saturday morning through Sunday evening* A cold front will bring a quick shot of moderate to heavyrainfall on Saturday afternoon. Ongoing runoff from melting snowwill combine with the anticipated rainfall to increase levels onriver and streams around the county. Minor flooding will be possiblefrom Saturday afternoon through Sunday.* Smaller streams and creeks will be most at risk for high flowsand potential flooding, but there is also a chance for someflooding along larger creeks such as Fish Creek, Oneida Creek,Oriskany Creek, Sauquoit Creek and the Black River amongothers.

Much warmer temperatureswill also result in very rapid snowmelt across the Tug HillPlateau and western Adirondacks. Excessive runoff from snowmeltand rain will result in significant rises on area creeks andrivers.* Flood potential will initially impact smaller streams whichdrain the Tug Hill Plateau and western foothills of theAdirondacks, with flooding possible in low lying areas and nearstreams Friday night through Saturday.
