Rockland-Sloatsburg - Shelter Opening - Garbage Changes - Parking Restrictions - Village 845-753-2727

Sloatsburg Mayor is advising residents of the following: The Sloatsburg Ambulance Building will be open from Monday evening 6 PM until 6 AM Thursday January 29th for anyone in need of shelter. There will be no garbage pick up on Tuesday, January 27th. On Friday, January 30th the entire Village is scheduled for pick-up. Recycling is still scheduled for Wednesday, January 28th. There will be two ambulance crews on duty during this period to answer calls. The Sloatsburg Fire Department has been mobilized and is on standby to handle all emergencies. The Ramapo Police has increased personnel on duty to respond to the needs of Sloatsburg residents. The DPW will be working long hours under hazardous conditions to keep roads open. Residents are reminded not to park on the shoulder of the road in order not to hinder snow removal operations. Residents are also reminded not to throw snow in the roadway.
