Oswego County In Central New York... * Until 230 PM EDT Wednesday * At 230 PM EDT...Additional Water Is Going To Be Released From The Reservoir On The Upper Reaches Of The Salmon River. Flow Rates Of 5200 Cfs Will Increase To 8000 Cfs...But Actual Flows Can Vary And Change Quickly At Any Time. *This Will Cause The River To Increase To Around 11 Feet At The Gauge In Pineville. This Will Result In Minor Lowland Flooding...However Flows Higher Than This Could Impact Areas Along The Salmon River In Pulaski. Those Who Utilize The Lower Portion Of The River To Fish Or For Other Recreational Activities Should Be Alert For The Increased Flow And Avoid The River Until Further Notice. *Those With Interests Along The Salmon River Should Continue To Monitor Later Statements Concerning This Situation As There Is The Potential For Even Greater Flow Rates.
