The Salmon River In Oswego County In Central New York... * Until 1130 PM EDT Monday * Officials From Brookfield Power Indicate That Water Will Continue To Be Released From The Reservoir On The Upper Reaches Of The Salmon River Through At Least 1130 PM Tonight. Flow Rates Should Average Around 5200 Cfs...But Actual Flows Can Vary And Change Quickly At Any Time. These Rates Are Not Expected To Cause Widespread Flooding...But Those Who Utilize The Lower Portion Of The River To Fish Or For Other Recreational Activities Should Be Alert For The Increased Flow And Avoid The River Until Further Notice. Those With Interests Along The Salmon River Should Continue To Monitor Later Statements Concerning This Situation As There Is The Potential For Even Greater Flow Rates.
