This will bring periods of rain showersand very warm temperatures which will result in additional snowmelt. River flows are already running very high on the BlackRiver, leaving it vulnerable to flooding.* Flows on the Black River will remain high through this afternoonbut are expected to remain below flood stage. After this, theBlack River should begin to rise tonight as it responds to theadditional rain and snow melt. This may result in flooding alongthe Black River and some of its larger tributaries through theend of the week.

The combination of rainfall and snowmelt will lead tominor to locally moderate river flooding through Friday morning.Flooding is also possible in poor drainage and low lying areas,especially where snow blocks storm drains.
