Innortheast Pennsylvania, Bradford, Northern Wayne, andSusquehanna.* Until 6 PM EST this evening* Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall will moveacross the region today. Some locations may see an inch ormore of rain in a very short period of time. The combinationof heavy rain rates and saturated soils from recent snow meltmay result in localized flash flooding...especially in urbanareas and along small streams.

Ongoing runoff from melting snow will combinewith the anticipated rainfall to increase levels on river andstreams around the county. Minor flooding will be possiblefrom today through Sunday.* Smaller streams and creeks will be most at risk for high flowsand potential flooding, but there is also a chance for someflooding along larger creeks such as Fish Creek, Oneida Creek,Oriskany Creek, Sauquoit Creek and the Black River amongothers.

Much warmer temperatures will also resultin very rapid snowmelt across the Tug Hill Plateau and westernAdirondacks.
