...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EDT SATURDAY FORCAYUGA COUNTY...At 410 AM EDT, high flows on the Seneca River were causing minorflooding. There is flooding along the river which includes areasnear the Route 34 bridge, as well as low-lying areas adjacent to theriver. Flooding will mainly impact yards and possibly somestructures which are located close to the river. The Seneca Riverflows into Cross Lake, where there is also flooding in some lowlying areas near the lakeshore.Levels on Cross Lake and the Seneca River were generally stableovernight, with little change in these levels expected through atleast this morning. The watershed is complex, and typically slowresponding. Flows are difficult to predict, but it is possible thathigh levels will last through the weekend.
