Dates: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 6:00pm - Wed, 05/15/2013 - 8:00pm, The Center Gallery at Jamestown Community College’s Olean Campus will host the Cattaraugus County Art Council’s (CCAC) Routes to Art exhibition opening April 18 and running through May 15. The exhibition will open with a public reception on April 18, from 6–8pm.

Dates: Tue, 05/07/2013 - 5:00pm - Thu, 05/09/2013 - 9:30pm, The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Bow Hunters’ Education Class on the following dates and time: Tuesday, May 7, 2013 and Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.  The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery,12749 Cottage Rd.,Dayton,New York.

Dates: Tue, 04/16/2013 - 4:30pm - Thu, 04/18/2013 - 10:00pm, The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a hunters’ education class for the gun portion only on the following dates and time: Tuesday, April 16, 2013 and Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 4:30 to 10:00 p.m.  The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery,12749 Cottage Rd., Dayton, New York.

Dates: Mon, 04/08/2013 - 9:00am - Sat, 04/13/2013 - 2:00pm, The Allegheny River Aquarium Society will present its Aquarium Tropical Fish Show at the Olean Public Library from Monday, April 8th, through Saturday, April 13th.  Library and show hours are Monday through Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm.  Everyone is invited to attend the show, admission is FREE and you can vote for your favorite exhibit. 

Dates: Sun, 04/07/2013 - 2:00pm, The St. Bonaventure University Chamber Ensemble will perform at 2 p.m. April 7 at  the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.  The free concert features students in the vocal studio, piano studio, brass ensemble and drum circle. A violin solo will also be performed.

Dates: Sat, 06/22/2013 (All day), Let’s explore nature in a different light…. moonlight! This 1 mile hike will roam through the forest and wetlands of our Eshelman property. We’ll listen for the sound of the wild night life, pause to view the full moon through a telescope and binoculars, and ends at our campfire ring for some moon folklore and toasted marshmallows.

Dates: Sat, 05/18/2013 - 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Hypertufa is a cement-like mixture created to mimic natural “tufa, an eroded limestone.  Get elbows-deep into creating this mixture and then shaping it into your choice of garden collectables… pots, pavers, statuary.  Techniques for create hypertufa, safety of use, use of colors, building forms, curing, and aging of the tufa will be included in this hand-on adventure.
