Then this summer Allegany State Park is the place to be at the ASP Classic Car Cruise In. For classic car owners this is a perfect place to cruise the roads of the park and then show off your vehicle. For car fans this is a great place to check out vehicles from yesteryear.

This is North America's Biggest Smoke Dance Contest. There will be other dance styles as well including Fancy, Grass, Traditional, and Jingle.

The treks will be led by park staff and summer interns.

Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free.
