Dates: Sat, 05/18/2013 (All day), The Cattaraugus County Museum has announced an exciting schedule of Civil War programming coming to its campus this summer. The schedule will kick off on Saturday, May 18, when author Valgene Dunham will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of his new book, Allegany to Appomattox:  The Life and Letters of Private William Whitlock of the 188th M.Y. Volunteers. 

Dates: Mon, 03/04/2013 - 4:30pm - Fri, 03/08/2013 - 7:00pm, A week-long series of lectures, performances and discussions on Olean native Robert Lax will take place from March 4 to 8 at St. Bonaventure University.  Lax spent his early years in Olean and went on to become a well-known poet, artist and spiritual thinker. He spent more than 30 years of his later life on the Greek islands of Kalymnos and Patmos.

Dates: Thu, 02/21/2013 (All day) - Sat, 03/23/2013 (All day), The Cattaraugus County Arts Council announces its winter session of creative arts classes in the Community Art & Pottery Studio (CAPS) located in Allegany, NY. Classes are offered for all levels and interests and are taught by professional artists who bring many years of experience and effective teaching styles to class participants.

Dates: Mon, 02/18/2013 - 9:00am - Fri, 02/22/2013 - 12:00pm, The Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) is pleased to announce a new selection of February break art classes for kids. Classes will take place at CCAC between February 18-22 during the morning and afternoon hours and are offered to youth in grades K-8. Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of exciting mediums including painting, fabric arts, paper making, drawing, and much more.

May 26 will be the AQHA All Breed Trail Challenge.  This one-of-a-kind series will offer riders the opportunity to showcase their skills in and out of the arena.  Come and face the challenge on Nash Hill's brand new obstacle course.
