The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...An Ice Jam in...Southwestern Otsego County in central New York...Northwestern Delaware County in central New York...Southeastern Chenango County in central New York...* Until 1000 PM EST.* At 400 PM EST, an ice jam remained in place in Sidney. Waterlevels have not changed appreciably since midday near the WillowStreet section of Sidney. Also, water levels have been nearlysteady, or have fluctuated slightly, at the Unadilla, Bainbridge,and Sidney gauges.Flooding could still occur downstream of the jam, if it breaks free.At this time, however, little ice movement has been observed. Localresidents should continue to monitor the situation.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a* Flood Warning for...An Ice Jam in...Southwestern Otsego County in central New York...Northwestern Delaware County in central New York...Southeastern Chenango County in central New York...* Until 400 PM EST.* At 1003 AM EST, Delaware County Emergency Management reported anice jam with rapidly rising water in Sidney. The jam is locatednear the Willow Street section of the village, and water isaffecting properties along Route 7. It was estimated the waterhad risen about 1 foot in the last hour.Flooding will become worse along and behind the jam today. Waterlevels were already noted to be increasing at the Unadilla streamgauge, while water levels were dropping at the Sidney and Bainbridgegauges. Rapid flooding downstream may occur if the jam breaks free.
