...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...The Flood Watch continues for* Portions of east central New York including the following areas,Northern Warren, Herkimer and Hamilton counties.* Through Thursday morning* Anomalously warm temperatures will allow for considerable snowmelt in the southern Adirondacks this afternoon into Wednesdaynight. One to three inches of snow melt is expected. Inaddition, a quarter of an inch to just over half of an inch ofrainfall is possible this afternoon into Wednesday. Ice jamflooding is also possible in the watch area.* Significant rises are expected on rivers, streams and creeksincluding the Sacandaga, Upper Hudson, western Mohawk andSchroon Rivers. The potential for flooding will increase in thewarm air mass with the flood threat continuing into Thursdaymorning.
