...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATEFRIDAY NIGHT...The Flood Watch continues for* All of southern Connecticut, most of northeast New Jersey, andall of southeast New York.* From Friday morning through late Friday night* A deepening coastal low late Thursday night into Friday willbring heavy rain across the area, with the potential for 2 to3 inches of rainfall. Heavier bands could produce localizedhigher amounts.* Smaller rivers and streams across the area will be mostvulnerable to the possibility of flooding. In addition, poordrainage urban flooding is possible and may be enhanced by theeffects of coastal flooding.

...Heavy snow continues this morning...An area of heavy wet snow continues to impact the southernAdirondacks, eastern Catskills, Mohawk Valley, Mid Hudson Valley,Capital District, Lake George Saratoga Region, and Taconics.Snowfall rates of one to three inches per hour will continuethrough noon, highest over the Mohawk Valley and Catskills. Verydifficult travel conditions are expected due to snow covered roadsand poor visibility. The weight of the heavy wet snow combinedwith gusty winds will bring down some branches and wires,resulting in scattered power outages.
