...Road Conditions Will Rapidly Deteriorate Early This Evening...Steady light snow will continue through the evening across all ofWestern New York, the Genesee Valley, and western Finger Lakes.Sunlight filtering through the clouds is allowing much of this tomelt on contact with paved surfaces. This will rapidly changeduring the late afternoon and early evening as pavementtemperatures drop with sunset.Water on untreated surfaces will freeze with snow also beginningto accumulate. This will result in untreated roads becoming snowcovered and extremely slippery during the late afternoon and earlyevening. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly deterioratingroad conditions between 4 PM and 7 PM.
