...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO...MONROE AND NORTHEASTERN ORLEANS COUNTIES...At 621 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall ratesof 1 TO 2 inches per hour was intensifying over Lake Ontario. Thisband of heavy snow will move onshore from Carlton to Hilton, andalso extend into the Greater Rochester Area. This will bringdeteriorating travel conditions early this morning.Winds in excess of 40 mph are expected with this band of lake effectsnow, resulting in significant blowing and drifting snow and verypoor visibility at times.Locations impacted include...Rochester, Greece, Irondequoit, Chili, Brockport, Albion, Hilton,Webster and Irondequoit.Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this dangeroussnow squall.
