Water Levels On Smaller Creeks And Streams Will Continue To Run Near Bankfull Tonight And Monday As Very Warm Temperatures Bring An Almost Complete Melt Of The Remaining Snowpack. Rain Will Arrive Monday Evening And Continue Through Tuesday Before Ending As Snow. This Will Produce Further Runoff And Lead To An Enhanced Risk Of Flooding. Snow Melt Will Cause Rivers And Creeks To Remain Steady Or Slowly Rise Through Monday. The Salmon River In Oswego County In Central New York... * Until 530 PM EDT Monday * Officials From Brookfield Power Indicate That Water Will Continue To Be Released From The Reservoir On The Upper Reaches Of The Salmon River Through Late Monday Evening. Flow Rates Should Average Around 4500 Cfs...But Actual Flows Can Vary And Change Quickly At Any Time. These Rates Are Not Expected To Cause Widespread Flooding...But Those Who Utilize The Lower Portion Of The River To Fish Or For Other Recreational Activities Should Be Alert For The Increased Flow And Avoid The River Until Further Notice.
