At 753 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated a band of lake effect snowover Johnsburg, moving east to southeast at 30 mph.The heavy snow showers with the lake effect band will remain overthe mainly rural areas of Northern Washington...and northern WarrenCounties. However, it will continue to impact Interstate 87 fromexit 23 and Warrensburg to exit 24 near Riverbank.Within this band...near whiteout conditions and hazardous travel canbe expected. Snowfall rates of a half an inch to one inch per hourwill be possible in less than an hour. Please use extreme cautionwhile traveling. Heavy falling and blowing snow will create nearzero visibility.
