...Areas of Black Ice possible across the region this morning...Areas of black ice will be possible through 9 AM this morningacross eastern New York and adjacent western New England, asground surfaces initially remain wet from overnight snow and rain,and temperatures fall back close to, or slightly below freezingtoward or just after daybreak. The best potential for black icewill be for elevations at or above 1000 feet.Motorists and pedestrians should remain vigilant to the potentialof encountering black ice on untreated surfaces. Bridges andelevated road surfaces, highway on and off ramps, less traveledsecondary roads, and also parking lots, sidewalks and drivewayswill be particularly susceptible to potential black ice formationearly this morning.
