...A BAND OF HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN LEWIS...ANDCENTRAL OSWEGO COUNTIES...At 809 PM EST, A band of heavy lake effect snow producing snow fallrates of up to 2 inches per hour will remain nearly stationary oversouthern Lewis and central Oswego counties through 930 pm.Thunder and lightning was occurring within the most intense portionof the lake band.Locations impacted include...Oswego, Lowville, Pulaski, Redfield, Highmarket, Selkirk Shores StatePark, Mexico Point State Park, Whetstone Gulf State Park, Nine MilePoint and Scriba.This includes Interstate 81 between exits 33 and 36.Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Beprepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extratime when traveling.
