Much Warmer Temperatures This Weekend And Into Early Next Week Will Result In Rapid Snowmelt Across The Higher Terrain Of The Tug Hill Plateau And Western Adirondacks. A Large Quantity Of Stored Water Is Still Present Across The Higher Terrain Of The Tug Hill And Western Adirondacks With A Liquid Equivalent Of 5 To 8 Inches. Water Levels On Smaller Creeks And Streams Will Continue To Rise Over The Weekend And Into Early Next Week As Very Warm Temperatures Bring An Almost Complete Melt Of The Remaining Snowpack. Rain Will Arrive Monday Night And Continue Through Tuesday...Which Will Produce Further Runoff And Produce An Enhanced Risk Of Flooding. The Combination Of Weekend Snowmelt Followed By Rain Early Next Week Will Eventually Result In A Greater Risk Of Flooding Along The Larger Main Stem Rivers.
