...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM EST THIS MORNINGTHROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...The Flood Watch continues for* Flood Watch for all of eastern New York excluding the westernAdirondacks, for northwestern Connecticut, westernMassachusetts, and southern Vermont.* From 7 AM EST this morning through Wednesday morning* Rainfall amounts of three quarters of an inch to an inch and aquarter along with snowmelt on today may be enough to dislodgeriver ice which would then move downstream and potentially jamat preferred locations. Areas in the river channels which aremost prone to ice jam flooding include obstructions in thechannel such as islands, locks, bridge piers and docks; changesin the channel such as narrowing of the channel, bends, gorgesand intact ice cover; change in channel depth from deep water toshallow water; and merger of river channels.

Flooding due to an ice jam and rain will continue. Golf CourseRoad just south of Route 28 is close to being overtopped byfloodwater.Flooding as a result of this ice jam is very unpredictable andinterests in the vicinity of the river should remain alert tochanging conditions and any future warnings.Some locations that may experience flooding include...Warrensburg, Lake George Village, Bolton Landing, Bolton, LakeGeorge, Thurman Station, Cleverdale, Big Hollow, Diamond Point,Athol, Crosbyside, Riverbank, North Bolton and Darrowsville.
