...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT SOUTH CENTRAL JEFFERSON...SOUTHWESTERN LEWIS AND OSWEGO COUNTIES...At 1013 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall ratesof up to 1 inch per hour along a line extending from Oswego toParish to Osceola.Locations impacted include...Oswego, Sandy Island Beach State Park, Pulaski, Redfield, SelkirkShores State Park, Highmarket, Mexico Point State Park, Nine MilePoint, Whetstone Gulf State Park and Hastings.This includes Interstate 81 between exits 33 and 40.Visibilities at times will drop to a quarter of a mile in this bandof lake effect snow.Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Beprepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extratime when traveling.

...A DANGEROUS SNOW SQUALL WILL AFFECT ONEIDA...NORTHWESTERN MADISONAND NORTHEASTERN ONONDAGA COUNTIES...* Until 800 AM EST..* At 659 AM EST...A dangerous snow squall was along a line extendingfrom 7 miles north of Camden to 7 miles east of I-81 Exit 32 tonear Baldwinsville...and moving east at 30 MPH.Snow showers and squalls will reintensify over the area, especiallyOneida county, during the next hour, or so. Expect brief heavysnowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour and near whiteoutconditions at times in the most persistent squalls.Locations impacted include, Clay, Rome, Cicero, Oneida, Lee, Verona,Vienna, Canastota, Trenton and Floyd.Visibilities will drop quickly to near zero in this dangerous snowsquall. Use extra caution if traveling this morning.

...A DANGEROUS SNOW SQUALL WILL AFFECT ONEIDA AND NORTHWESTERNMADISON COUNTIES...* Until 700 AM EST.* At 558 AM EST...A dangerous snow squall extended from the Oswegocounty line, west of Camden, to near Floyd and Oriskany. Snowfallrates within this band of snow were 1 to 2 inches per hour.Visibilities were reported near zero at times in the heaviestsqualls.The snow band is expected to drift slowly south over the next hour,and may become aligned along the NY Thruway.Locations impacted include, Utica, Rome, Oneida, Kirkland, Lee,Verona, Westmoreland, Vienna, Canastota and Trenton.Snow may accumulate quickly. Blowing and drifting snow are likely tocause visibilities to drop quickly to near zero in this dangeroussnow squall.
