This rain may be heavy at times Tuesdaymorning. Flooding of small streams, urban areas, and otherlow- lying, flood prone areas is possible. Some of the lowlying rivers, lakes and wetlands in the Finger Lakes regionare already saturated from earlier rainfall and snow melt.* Another storm system is forecast to move through the region onThursday and Friday with additional moderate to heavy rain.The potential for additional flooding, or new areas offlooding will increase through late week.

In northeastPennsylvania, Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, andWyoming.* Through Saturday morning* Rainfall around 1 inch from tonight through Wednesday willcause a significant rise in area rivers. Several points alongthe Susquehanna river in New York and northeast Pennsylvaniamay experience minor flooding, or at least come close to floodlevels. Brief heavy rain at times, could also contribute toflooding of small streams, roadside ditches, underpasses andother low-lying flood prone areas.* Another low pressure system is forecast to move through theregion on Thursday and Friday with additional moderate toheavy rain. In addition, warmtemperatures during this period will melt snow pack whichlingers across the Tug Hill and Adirondacks.* Each system poses a threat for flooding.
