...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THISAFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...The Flash Flood Watch continues for* A portion of western New York...including the followingcounties...Genesee...Erie and Wyoming.* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning.* Heavy lake effect rainfall may produce localized flashflooding in the Buffalo metro area. A band of heavy lakeeffect rain will develop this afternoon over the city ofBuffalo and will likely settle across the Buffalo southtownstonight through Tuesday. The lake effect rain will likelylinger into Tuesday night before diminishing on Wednesdaymorning.* Excessive runoff from the heavy rainfall may result inflooding of low lying areas and also small streams and creeks.Urban flooding in possible in the Buffalo metro area. Drainageinlets clogged by leaves may increase the risk of streetflooding.
