The National Weather Service In Burlington Continues The Flood Watch For * Northern New York And Much Of Vermont. * From 2 PM EDT This Afternoon Through Wednesday Evening * Above Normal Temperatures Today And Sunday Will Lead To Continued Snowmelt And Rises On Smaller Rivers And Streams. With River Levels Already Starting Higher Than Last Week... Minor Flooding Along Smaller Rivers And Streams Will Be Possible This Weekend. The Potential For More Substantial Flooding Will Occur In The Monday Through Wednesday Time Period As Even Warmer Temperatures Move Into The Region On Monday. Thus Very Rapid Snowmelt Will Occur And As A Strong Cold Front Moves Across The Area On Tuesday...Heavy Rains On The Order Of 1 To 2 Inches Are Expected.
