...BANDS OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE SOUTH ANDSOUTHEAST OF LAKE ONTARIO...A broad area of moderate lake effect snow with narrow embedded bandsof heavy snow will continue through mid evening from just east ofBuffalo across the Genesee Valley, Rochester, and areas southeast oflake Ontario.Snowfall rates will briefly reach 1 to 2 inches per hour in theheavier bands of snow. Travel conditions will continue to be verydifficult across much of the area, including the Rochester area andsurrounding counties.This includes the following highways...Interstate 390 between exits 6 and 12.Interstate 90 between exits 48A and 42.Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in heavy lake effect snow. Beprepared for snow covered roads and visibility of less than aquarter mile. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
