...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT OSWEGOCOUNTY...At 455 PM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall ratesof 2 to 3 inches per hour will continue to affect Oswego countythrough 6 pm. This band of lake effect snow will then slowly shiftsouth into northern Cayuga and Wayne county through the lateevening hours where it will remain most of the night.Locations impacted include...Oswego, Fulton, Fair Haven Beach State Park, Central Square, MexicoPoint State Park, Nine Mile Point, Battle Island State Park,Brewerton, Hastings and Scriba.This includes Interstate 81 between exits 32 and 35.If traveling into Oswego, northern Cayuga, and Wayne county expectto encounter rapidly changing weather and road conditions. Beprepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extratime when traveling.

Windsgusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing anddrifting snow.* WHERE...Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.* WHEN...Through 7 PM Tuesday. Lake effect snow through latetonight. Blowing and drifting snow on Tuesday.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will causeareas of blowing and drifting snow and difficult travel in openareas.
