...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAYMORNING...The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a* Flood Watch for all of eastern New York and western New England.* From 2 AM EDT Tuesday through Saturday morning.* Rainfall ranging from 1 to 1.5 inches is expected from tonightthrough Wednesday morning. Rain may be heavy at times Tuesdaymorning. Flooding of small streams, urban areas, and other low-lying, flood prone areas are possible. Rainfall and snow meltfrom the past several mild days has resulted in nearlysaturated grounds.* Another storm system is forecast to move through the region onThursday and Friday with additional moderate to heavy rainfall.The potential for additional flooding, or new areas of floodingwill increase through late week.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAYAFTERNOON...The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a* Flood Watch for Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, Wayne, and NorthernCayuga Counties.* From 2 AM EDT Tuesday through Saturday afternoon.* A storm system tonight and Tuesday will bring 1 to 1.5 inches ofrain to the area, with a additional 1 to 2 inches possible fromanother system on Thursday into Friday. In addition, warmtemperatures during this period will melt snow pack whichlingers across the Tug Hill and Adirondacks.* Each system poses a threat for flooding. The first system willcause rises in the Black River basin, resulting in potential forflooding as a result of the run-off. Also, the Seneca Riverwhich flows into Cross lake is currently running high, and thissystem should result in steady or potentially additional risesin the waterway.* Rainfall amounts are a bit more uncertain with the secondsystem, but there will be very little time for slower respondingwater
