...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...The Flood Watch continues for* Portions of New York and southern Vermont, including thefollowing areas, in New York, Hamilton, Montgomery, NorthernFulton, Northern Herkimer, Northern Saratoga, Northern Warren,Northern Washington, Southeast Warren, Southern Fulton,Southern Herkimer, and Southern Washington. In southernVermont, Bennington, Eastern Windham, and Western Windham.* Through this evening* A strong cold front moved across the region yesterday with heavyrainfall from showers and thunderstorms that ranged from a halfan inch to an inch and a half. The combination of the rain andsnow melt the past few days enhanced runoff into area rivers,resulting in minor flooding. Additional flooding is alsopossible on small streams, creeks and rivers due to theexcessive runoff.
