Family Caregiver Support
This program is intended to provide essential information, assistance, counseling, training and respite. For family caregivers, the program is intended to help sustain their efforts to care for an older relative who has a chronic illness or disability and will promote the ability of these individuals to remain in their homes and local communities, instead of being placed in residential facilities.
Short-term substitute care and supervision of functionally impaired older persons is available to provide caregivers with a temporary relief from their responsibilities. Contact the Department of Aging for more information.
