Sealed bids for Cement Board Replacement Project, Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, 9822 Route 16, Machias, NY 14101, according to specifications, will be received by the undersigned, at the Department of Public Works Facility, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York, until Friday, June 21, 2011 at 1:45 P.M. after which they will be publicly opened at 2:00 P.M. (at the same location), by the undersigned, under the direction of the Public Works Committee of the Cattaraugus County Legislature. Each bid, at the time it is received, will be stamped showing the date and time of receipt.
All bids must be sealed and clearly marked as follows:

Copies of the proposed Contract Documents, Plans, Specifications and Instructions to Bidders will be available Monday, May 16, 2011, and may be secured at Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York 14755, phone Duane Hill at (716) 938-9121 Ext 2465. There will be a $50.00 charge for each set of documents, plus $8.00 postage if mailed. Checks are to be made payable to the Cattaraugus County Treasurer. The documents for this project will be available for examination at the offices of; SWBR Architecture, Engineering & Landscape Architecture, 387 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 14604, Southern Tier Builders Association, 65 West Main St., Falconer, NY 14733, & on their web site. All bids must be sent or delivered to Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, NY 14755, Attention Duane Hill.
The full deposit, according to General Municipal Law, Less any postage costs, will be refunded for complete sets with no missing pages, returned in good condition (NOT MARKED IN OR WRITTEN IN) within 30 days of the award of contract. No refunds will be made for sets returned later than 30 days after the award of contract.
All bids must be accompanied by a NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE and a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of bid total. Any bid submitted without such certification and bid bond will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. The County Legislature reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid.
