Sealed bids for Five Points Landfill Improvement, Town of Mansfield, New York, according to specifications, will be received by the undersigned, at the Department of Public Works Facility, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York, until Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:45 P.M. after which they will be publicly opened at 2:00 P.M. (at the same location), by the undersigned, under the direction of the Public Works Committee of the Cattaraugus County Legislature. Each bid, at the time it is received, will be stamped showing date and time of receipt. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked as follows:

There will be a Pre-Bid meeting at the Five Points Facility, 6909 Toad Hollow Road, Little Valley, NY 14755 at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

Questions relating to this project and Final Request for Information shall be addressed via e-mail; jeremy [dot] burger [at] ghd [dot] com or in writing to Jeremy Burger at GHD Consulting Engineers, LLC, University Centre, 415 North French Road, Suite 100, Amherst, NY 14228, or FAX: 716-691-8506 , (Ph. No. 716-691-8503) by 4:00 P.M. Friday, February 10, 2012. Final addendum shall be issued Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.

Copies of the proposed Contract Documents, Plans, Specifications and Instructions to Bidders will be available Monday, January 23, 2012, and may be secured from Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York 14755, phone Duane Hill at (716) 938-9121 Ext. 2465. There will be a $50.00 charge for each set of specifications, plus a separate check of $8.00 for postage if mailed. Checks are to be made payable to the Cattaraugus County Treasurer. The specifications for this project will be available for examination at the office of GHD Consulting Engineers, LLC, University Centre, 415 North French Rd., Suite 100, Amherst, NY 14228, Southern Tier Builders Association, 65 West Main St., Falconer, NY 14733 & on their web site. The full deposit, according to General Municipal Law, Less any postage costs, will be refunded for complete sets with no missing pages, returned in good condition (NOT MARKED IN OR WRITTEN IN) within 30 days of the award of contract. No refunds will be made for sets returned later than 30 days after the award of contract.

All bids must be sent or delivered to Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, NY 14755, Attention Duane Hill.

All bids must be accompanied by a NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE and a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of bid total. All substitutions are to be submitted at time of bid as per the contract documents. No substitutions will be considered after the bid date. Any bid submitted without such certification and bid bond will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. Cattaraugus County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid
