Sand/Salt Building Maintenance and Repairs
Sealed bids for Salt/Sand Building Maintenance and Repairs, for the Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, according to specifications, will be received by the undersigned, at the Department of Public Works Facility, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York, until Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1:45 P.M. after which they will be publicly opened at 2:00 P.M. (at the same location), by the undersigned, under the direction of the Public Works Committee of the Cattaraugus County Legislature. Each bid, at the time it is received, will be stamped showing the date and time of receipt. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked as follows:

Final Request for Information shall be 4:00 P.M. August 22, 2014. Final Addendum shall be issued August 26, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
Copies of the proposed Contract Documents, Plans, Specifications and Instructions to Bidders will be available Friday, August 1, 2014 and may be secured at Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York 14755. Phone Dawn Smith, at (716) 938-9121, ext. 2465. There will be a $50.00 charge for each set of specifications, plus $8.00 postage if mailed. Checks are to be made payable to the Cattaraugus County Treasurer. The specifications for this project will be available for examination at Southern Tier Builders Association, Inc., 65 East Main St., Falconer, NY 14733, & on their web site. Cattaraugus County Local Law 12-2012 requires that the County distribute copies of said local law and of form CCA-2 (New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire For-Profit Construction) with attachments A, B, and C to bidders. In the event that these documents become inaccessible, please contact Dawn Smith at (716) 938-9121 ext. 2465 to obtain copies. Bidders are responsible for reading and completing these forms.
Failure to submit form CCA-2, with all three attachments, to the County with or prior to the submission of the bid will lead to automatic disqualification of the bid unless the bidder has already submitted such forms within the past year. It is the bidder’s responsibility to track how long it has been since their last submittal of the required forms. The County will not send reminders to potential bidders about when their latest submittal of a CCA-2 with attachments was received. In the event that the bidder has experienced material changes to its business since the last submittal, a new submittal with updated information will be required.
The full deposit, according to General Municipal Law, Less any postage costs, will be refunded for complete sets with no missing pages, returned in good condition (NOT MARKED IN OR WRITTEN IN) within 30 days of the award of contract. No refunds will be made for sets returned later than 30 days after the award of contract.

All bids must be accompanied by a NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE. Any bid submitted without such certification will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. The County Legislature reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid. All bids received are subject to all federal and state controls concerning any such equipment.
