St. Bonaventure Access Improvement Project, Public Building Contract
The Town of Allegany is seeking sealed bids for St. Bonaventure Access Improvement Project, in the Town of Allegany, according to specifications, will be received by the undersigned, at the Allegany Town Hall, 52 West Main Street Allegany, New York, until Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. after which they will be publicly opened at 2:30 P.M. (In Room 123, Francis Hall on the St. Bonsventure University Campus, St. Bonaventure, NY), under the direction of the Town of Allegany. Each bid, at the time it is received, will be stamped showing date and time of receipt. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked as follows:

Copies of the proposed Contract Documents, Plans, Specifications and Instructions to Bidders will be available Friday, January 28, 2011 and may be secured at Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, New York 14755,. There will be a $50.00 charge for each set of specifications, plus $8.00 postage if mailed. Checks are to be made payable to the Cattaraugus County Treasurer. The specifications for this project will be available for examination at Town of Allegany, 52 West Main Street, Allegany, NY 14706, St. Bonaventure College Maintenance Facility, St. Bonaventure, NY 14778, the office of Fisher Associates, 325 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202, and at Southern Tier Builders Association, 65 West Main St., Falconer, NY 14733, & on their web site. The work consists of the construction of a single story building, approximately 640 square feet which will house public bathrooms with a lobby area. Drainage, parking lot, close circuit television cameras, landscaping and minor utility work is also included as part of the work. The project contains a base bid plus four (4) bid alternates. Alternates will be incorporated into the project as the budget allows and in accordance with the bid specifications.

All bids must be sent or delivered to Allegany Town Hall, 52 West Main Street, Allegany, NY 14706, Attention: Mary Peck.
The full deposit, according to General Municipal Law, Less any postage costs, will be refunded for complete sets with no missing pages, returned in good condition (NOT MARKED IN OR WRITTEN IN) within 30 days of the award of contract. No refunds will be made for sets returned later than 30 days after the award of contract. All bids must be accompanied by a NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE and a bid bond in the amount of 5% of bid total. Any bid submitted without such certification and bid bond will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. The Town of Allegany reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid.
