There will be a rabies clinic held at the Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works garage in Little Valley on January 5, 2013 from 9:00 am to Noon.
Rabies Vaccinations are required for ALL cats, dogs and domesticated ferrets by FOUR months of age (but not less than 12 weeks).
Cats and dogs are given a booster one year later and every three years thereafter. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually.

Bats can be found in areas throughout the state. You may think you see birds around dusk but it’s more likely that they are bats searching for bugs to eat, especially if your home is near a water source. Keeping bats out of your home is a good first step to protect yourself against rabies. “Most bats are healthy and contribute to our environment in many ways, particularly by controlling insects. However, on average, 1% of bats are infected with rabies.
There will be a rabies clinic held at the Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works garage in Franklinville on September 11, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
