Dr. Kevin Watkins, Public Health Director of the Cattaraugus County Health Department has announced that there will be health screenings and educational information during National Public Health Week, April 5 – 11, 2010 at the Cattaraugus County Health Department located at 1 Leo Moss Drive in Olean, NY. This year’s theme is A Healthier America: One Community at a Time.

A new exhibit, “The Art and Artistry of Norman Maffei” is now open at the Cattaraugus County Museum.  Mr. Maffei, a Franklinville native, has been an active artist for over seven decades.  A WWII veteran, Maffei was once considered as a replacement for famous Army artist Bill Mauldin as a cartoonist for the 45th “Division News”.  Mr.
