Purpose of the Employment Unit
The purpose of the Employment Unit is to move individuals from dependence on "the system" to self-sufficiency. Two members of the Employment Unit are assigned to work with each individual to help identify that individual's strengths and any barriers that they may have. We enable individuals to gain a current work history (through our Work Experience program) which makes them more desirable to potential employers.

The Employment Unit is mandated to work with all individuals receiving Temporary Assistance. Individuals must also participate with the Employment Unit as a condition of eligibility.

Our ultimate goal is financial self-sufficiency for our participants through full time employment.
