Free Class on Using the Web to Land a Job
The Olean Public Library is offering a free class on 'Using the Web to Land a Job'. This class is free and open to the public. Please call the library's Reference Desk to register at 716-372-0200. Space is limited.
It’s not enough to just look in the newspaper or occasionally visit online listings for employment opportunities. Learn job search and networking strategies using the web to help you land a job, including how to use the web once you have an interview. The first hour will be a presentation and discussion format and then there will be a half-hour for hands-on guided implementation of strategies for those who already possess basic computer and internet skills.
Monday May 23, 2011 4-5:30 p.m.
Taught by Anna E. Bush, JCC Employment Development Specialist
The Olean Public Library's Public Computing Center (PCC) activities are funded by the New York State Library, a unit of the Office of Cultural Education within the New York State Education Department (NYSED), which has been awarded a $9.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to expand computer access in public libraries across New York. The funding is being provided through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. (BTOP).
