Introduction to Social Networking Applications for Farms and Agri-business
Cornell University Cooperative Extension will hold an introductory workshop on how to use Facebook to promote and market your farm. Facebook is a social network that connects your farm with other friends, family, co-workers, and potential customers. Facebook is becoming a marketing tool for small businesses and farms to promote themselves to others. It’s a free, user friendly service once you learn how it can be utilized. You will learn about the benefits of social media marketing, how to set up a basic Facebook account, and see examples of local farms using Facebook with success to reach their customers. We will also present basic information on other social networking applications like Twitter, Shutterfly, and LinkedIn. Participants will gain hands-on experience in this working session.
This workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the ACCORD Corporation computer lab, 6087 State Route 19N, Belmont NY. Please call the office at 585-268-7644 ext. 18 to register. Space will be limited and preregistration is required.
