Living with Bipolar Disorder... An Evening of Community Conversation and Education
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, Bipolar Disorder affects approximately 5.7 million people in the U.S., or nearly 3% of the population over the age of 18 in a given year.
Following the viewing of “Living with Bipolar Disorder” DVD, Dr. Shahnawaz Meer, M.D., consulting psychiatrist for Cattaraugus County Department of Community Services, Jamestown Psychiatric P.C., WCA, and Chautauqua County Mental Health will facilitate a question and answer forum regarding Bipolar Disorder and other mental health diagnoses.
Sarah Clark, WNY Chapter Director of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will provide suicide prevention/postvention resources/materials.
