Red Cross Blood Drive
Cattaraugus County Building to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday from 10am – 3pm
URGENT BLOOD SHORTAGE – All Eligible Donors Urged to Donate Blood
The Cattaraugus County Building will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on the Traveling Donor Center (in the parking lot) on Thursday, March 6th from 10am – 3pm. The winter weather that has affected the entire east coast this year has had a severe impact on blood collections. As of February 5th, the weather has resulted in the cancellation of over 750 blood drives, resulting in more than 25,000 uncollected blood donations. As a result of the weather impact, the Red Cross is currently facing an Urgent Blood Shortage. The American Red Cross is asking all eligible donors to donate blood if possible.
You could win tickets!
In an effort to increase blood drive participation and to thank one lucky blood donor for their generous donation, there will be a special drawing for a pair of Savor-The-Flavor tickets. Savor-The-Flavor is an event being held on Sunday, March 9th from 12pm – 2:30pm at the Elks Lodge in Olean. The event offers attendees to come savor the best that Cattaraugus County restaurants, caterers, wineries and more have to offer. It’s a great afternoon of food and friends to benefit the Red Cross. The value of the raffle is $50.
