Reproductive Health Education

CCHD views individual sexuality as holistic - encompassing mind, body and spirit. An individual’s sexuality evolves from family and societal norms thus influencing the community as a whole. Most presentations require approximately a 45-minute time frame.

    PowerPoint presentation - includes information on decision making and relationships - 7th grade and up (with or without contraceptive choices)

  • Contraceptive Choices

    - Hands-on demenstration - 7th grade and up
  • STI's & HIV

    - 7th grade and up
  • Violence Against Women

    - PowerPoint presentation presenting the facts of this challenging topic - 9th grade and up
  • Puberty 101

    - Designed as a presentation about the female cycle for young female adolescent's and their parent; may be presented to youth only - 5th grade and up
  • Puberty 102

    - Part 2; for the older girl - covers birth control, STD's and Violence Against Women - 8th grand and up
  • Responsible Male

    - Discussion on the meaning of being a responsible male and the influence of society. Can be designed to the age of the audience (7th grade and up).
  • Responsible Male II

    - Beyond Beats and Rhymes; viewing of film & discussion regarding the effects of media on being male (11th & 12 grade males/preview recommended)
  • Bullying

    - for female adolescents - viewing of the film Odd Girl Out followed by discussion - 5th grade and up/2 hr time frame.
  • Body-Image

    - for female adolescents - promoting realistic self-image and acceptance of building on strengths - 5th grade and up
  • Wellness

    - designed around the specific needs of the requesting group.

Classes are offered either as a series or as a one-time session fitting the needs of the specific group.
