Duties and Services 

  • Purchasing and installing computer hardware and software, striving to acquire aggressive pricing and standardize the installed base of technology
  • Installing, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting the computer network and servers
  • Installing and maintaining the network infrastructure including cabling, routers, switches,  and firewalls
  • Upgrading and repairing PC’s, laptops and peripherals
  • Email system maintenance
  • Maintaining software packages and developing customized interfaces
  • Help Desk support
  • Maintain virus protection system for county PC’s
  • Review and evaluate proposed software and hardware purchases
  • Maintain Internet access
  • Perform Disaster Recovery tasks including backup of servers
  • Maintain and upgrade telephone systems
  • Support for County copiers
  • Cellular Phone Purchasing and Support
