Cattaraugus County is seeking a qualified individual for appointment to the position of Director, Department of Aging. The Director of Aging will plan, coordinate, and direct various services to improve the status and condition of the elderly in Cattaraugus County. The Director will oversee administrative functions of the department including strategic planning, budgeting, personnel actions, and purchasing. The Director will provide leadership for the department and insure that a wide variety of services be available to meet the needs of the elderly of the County. MINIMUM QUALICATIONS: MA/MS in social or behavior sciences, gerontology, nursing, public health, public administration, recreation education, or related fields and two years of administrative or supervisory experience in social work, community organization, geriatrics, or the field of aging; OR a BS/BA in any of the above fields of study and three years of experience in social work, community organization, geriatrics or the field of aging including at least one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
