Information on the Nursing Home Administrator position
The Cattaraugus County Department of Nursing Homes, Pines-Machias Facility, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Nursing Home Administrator.
The selected applicant will be appointed on a provisional (temporary) basis until an appropriate examination is conducted. For permanent appointment, the selected applicant must place in the top three on the final eligible list.
This is an administrative position involving responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, managing the operation and implementing the polices of a 150 bed facility in the Pines facility located in Machias, New York. This includes making operation decisions, providing general supervision, employing and discharging staff, programming, and, when appropriate, integrating the services of the nursing home with the community’s health resources.
Work is performed in accordance with established policies with wide leeway permitted for the exercise of independent judgement. Possession of a NYS Nursing Home Administrators license is required. Salary is negotiable.
