If you have ever thought about donating your time to a worthy cause- here is your chance! Delivering Meals on Wheels is a great way to serve your community. This would be an excellent opportunity for area businesses or organizations to serve their community as well!

The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging’s Senior Wellness and Nutrition Program is currently looking for volunteers in the Olean/Hinsdale area. Volunteers would deliver about 14 meals once a week and it takes just under 1 1/4 hours (10:30am – 11:45am) to complete this route. The route is approximately 18 miles long. RSVP mileage reimbursement is available to volunteers 55 and over.

The purpose of the Senior Wellness & Nutrition Program is to maintain independence, delay or prevent nursing home placement, and improve or maintain current health status of the homebound participants. Without volunteers, the delivery of meals would be impossible.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer please call the Cattaraugus County Dept of the Aging at (716) 373-8032 or 1 (800) 462-2901
