The birthday party will be held on Thursday, May 1, with the exception of Little Valley, where it will be held on May 2. The event will celebrate the birthdays of people born during the months of April, May, and June.

Cathy Mackay, director of the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging, has announced plans for the upcoming quarterly birthday party to be celebrated at the county's Senior Wellness and Nutrition sites. The birthday party will be held on Thursday, May 1, with the exception of Little Valley, where it will be held on May 2. The event will celebrate the birthdays of people born during the months of April, May, and June. Mrs. Mackay said, "This is a great time for people to get together and celebrate one another's birthdays. If you have never had the opportunity to visit the nutrition site in your community and your birthday falls within these months, we would like to invite you to attend this celebration."

Lunch is served at noon at most sites, although some serve earlier based on their custom. The menu will be homemade meatballs with rice and mushroom sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, sweet and sour red cabbage, tomato juice, and a dinner roll. All sites will have a choice of reduced fat or fat-free milk. Dessert will be birthday cake and ice cream.

There are 11 Senior Wellness and Nutrition sites throughout Cattaraugus County and are located in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Delevan, Franklinville, Gowanda, Little Valley, Olean, Portville, Randolph, South Dayton, and West Valley. Party reservations are required 24 hours in advance and can be made by calling the location of your choice. A voluntary donation of $3.25 is suggested to help offset the cost of the meal; however, no one will be denied a meal for the inability or the unwillingness to contribute.

If you are over 60 years of age and have never been to a Senior Wellness and Nutrition site before, this is a great time to stop by and experience the fun and fellowship your nutrition site can provide.
