Free Chronic Disease Self-Management Classes offered by Aging / NY Connects

The Cattaraugus County Department of Aging / NY Connects will be conducting a FREE 6-week series of classes that will address techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation. The classes will teach appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility, and endurance. Also covered will be appropriate use of medications; communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals; nutrition, decision making, and how to evaluate new treatments.
Living Healthy Workshop Classes will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 27, May 4, 11, 22, June 1, and June 8 at the John J. Ash Community Center, 112 North Barry Street in Olean.
