News from Social Services, Posted on Wed, 05/17/2017 - 11:23am

The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services is advising child support recipients of changes to the issuance of benefits. The New York State Child Support program is transitioning to new debit cards. As of June 15, 2017, all child support debit card holders will have their child support payments posted to the new Bank of America debit MasterCard. Deposits to the old EPPIcard will end on June 14, 2017.

All eligible debit card holders should receive their new BOA debit MasterCard in the mail between May 15 and May 27. If you receive support and have moved recently, it is imperative that you make sure the NYS Child Support Center is aware of your current address.

The EPPIcard will remain active until the balance is $0. The funds from the old card cannot be transferred to the new card.

If you have questions or have not received your new card by May 27, please call the NYS Child Support Helpline at 888-208-4485.
