NY Connects partnership: Catt. Aging and Directions of Independent Living

The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging/NY Connects and Directions of Independent Living in Olean are pleased to announce a new NY Connects partnership which is housed in the Department of the Aging office in the Olean County Building.

NY Connects is a program that is designed to provide Cattaraugus County residents with free, easy, and local access to information and assistance for anyone exploring available options for long-term care, regardless of age or income.

Both the Department of the Aging and Directions in Independent living have staff members dedicated to NY Connects services.  The Department of the Aging’s NY Connects team consists of Linda Caster, Carie Milliron, Mandi Hemphill, and Allison Hendy.  The newest addition to the NY Connects team is Directions in Independent Living’s staff member, Kristy Hamacher.  Kristy’s past experience includes working for the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Salamanca City School District.

Bonnie Saunders, NY Connects Administrator, states, “Each member of the team brings a wealth of experience and they all have expertise in long-term care services.  Each team member is a great resource for anyone seeking unbiased information about long-term care services and programs in Cattaraugus County.”
